Weather Trends International upcoming commodity events

As (northern hemisphere) summer approaches, attention in the ags space naturally starts to focus more on weather expectations.  Over the coming months, I will be giving talks at numerous international commodity conferences of various sizes, addressing the Weather Trends outlook and how this fits into the global commodity outlooks for both agriculture and energy.  Next week I will be giving a talk on long range weather planning and the implicaitons to the soft commodities complex in Africa at the 2009 Africa International Soft Commodities Conference in London (29/30 April).  On 2/3 July, I will be returning to deliver a lecture at the SugarAsia 2009 event, in New Delhi, India.  This talk will deal with weather impacts to sugar production at the major origins, with special emphasis on Indian sugarcane.  As we are expecting a shortfall in the Indian cane crop this year, this will be a very important and timely topic at this year’s SugarAsia event.

Additional speaking engagements will be posted on this site for lectures that are available to the public.  Also, feel free to contact Weather Trends International if you are interested in having a private lecture delivered to a smaller group.
