Per our note yesterday, low temps did verify overnight (see Polk County data below). OJ futures rose yesterday on this speculation, and this may carry over into today’s trading.

$100 oil

Well, we got our answwer today to the question of whether we would first see $80 or $100 oil.  Crude futures spiked more than $4/barrel in today’s trading.  In spite of the warmer outlook for the second half of winter, weather now will play a more important role in the fundamental picture going foward.  More here.
